Correspondence
One address, answered in writing
There is no telephone line, no chat channel and no office open to visitors. Everything is handled by email, in English or Portuguese.
Address and hours
Correspondence is read Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 Brasília time (UTC−3), except on Brazilian public holidays. Replies are sent within two business days; messages arriving at the weekend are answered on the next business day.
What to put in the message
- A subject line naming the matter: “Correction”, “Refund request”, “Data request” or “Permission”.
- For a correction: the note title and the exact passage in question.
- For a refund: the purchase date and the email address used at checkout.
- For a data request under the LGPD or the GDPR: the email address the request concerns, and which right is being exercised.
Attachments up to 10 MB are accepted. Please do not send documents containing identity numbers, payment card details or bank credentials. None of them are needed for anything handled here, and any that arrive are deleted on receipt.
What is handled here
- Corrections and source queries, under the policy on the Method page.
- Refunds, under the Refund Policy, within the 30-day window it describes.
- Privacy and data rights, under the Privacy Notice, within the statutory time limits stated there.
- Citation and reprint permissions, under the Terms of Access.
Common requests
- Clarification of a cited figure or a request for the bibliographic reference used in a note.
- A report of a broken link or a typographical error.
- A privacy request under the LGPD or the GDPR.
- A refund request for a paid item, where one has been offered.
What is not handled here
- Consultations, personalised guidance, coaching or mentorship of any kind.
- Review, assessment or evaluation of anyone's individual situation.
- Professional, financial, legal, tax, employment or career advice.
- Requests to publish a testimonial, review, endorsement or success story.
- Sponsorship, affiliate or paid-placement proposals touching note content.
- Urgent or emergency matters. This is a publication, not a support service; anyone facing an emergency should contact local emergency services directly.
